You can easily reach the Riedingtal by car or by taking the valley bus. The valley bus will run from July 5th to September 7th in 2025 and offers an easy way to travel from alpine hut to alpine hut in the Riedingtal.
Zederhaus is an ideal starting point for beautiful cycling tours. Surrounded by the most impressive mountains of the Lungau region, you'll find routes for every pace – from leisurely cycle paths along the Zederhauser Bach to challenging climbs into the surrounding alpine pastures.
Long ago, there were 70 mills in Zederhaus. Today, 11 of them are still standing. You can explore these mills along the Mill Trail. Whether combined with the Mill Life exhibition (June-September, Thursdays & Sundays, 14:00-17:00) or simply as a stroll, it's sure to be a wonderful experience. The Mill Trail takes about 1.5 hours and runs from the town center, through Zederhaus, and back to the town center. Since the guesthouse is on the trail, we recommend walking away from your accommodation.
